We are so excited about the upcoming Community Gathering of Delaware County. Where we will make meaningful connections with leaders in the community, utilize Careportal, & continue to provide solutions to the foster care crisis happening in our own backyard. This Months Highlights: Foster Care- Around 6,000 children are in the Oklahoma foster care system on any given day. Come join the Church, DHS, and Community in celebrating what has been done, discuss what is being done, and plan what we are going to do. Food will be served and it's always incredible. So, come hungry!
We will be gathering with church leaders and local advocates to watch a prescreen of the movie Possum Trot. This movie is based on a true story about a church in Texas that had 22 families adopt 77 children from foster care. This prescreen will be a great opportunity to get people excited and raise awareness about adoption and the needs of children in Foster Care in our nation.
