In Matthew 9 and Mark 2, we read a story about a paralytic man who had four amazing advocates who did a simple thing. They brought him to Jesus. Who could these four men be? Friends, neighbors, family, and maybe even strangers… the gospels don’t expound on this.
The Bible is clear that their collective faith made Jesus stop in the midst of the crowds and perform not just a physical miracle, but an eternal one, for the forgiveness of sins. Isn’t this a beautiful picture of the Church in action? We don’t save anyone, nor can we make anyone take the steps they need, but sometimes we help carry people along because we know the need and we know we all need Jesus.
We hope you continue to be inspired by the collective faith of the local church, keep meeting the needs of children and families in crisis, and bringing people to Jesus.
