In Philippians 2:20, Paul writes while imprisoned, “I have no one else like Timothy, who genuinely cares about your welfare.”
Both in the height of church growth in the first century and even today, the church is still struggling with genuine care. Paul had no one else that cared for the Church like Timothy did, and today the Church is not renowned for our caring. In light of this, we must recognize that what is happening through you, the Church, is truly remarkable.
Almost 700 children were served in just one month on CarePortal in May because you are meeting the needs of children and families from requests made by 50+ agency partners. This does not include the countless of you that are fostering and caring for children inside your congregations.
In May, our 45th county was launched because of the growing church network across the state. Grant, Latimer, and Marshall counties are coming on this summer because churches are saying yes to children in crisis across the state!
In the first half of the year, we have seen over 120 church-based Community Gatherings!
We are so grateful to be a part of this movement with you. You genuinely care about the Church and the welfare of children. Thank you for doing your part all across the state of Oklahoma!
Sincerely,
Chris Campbell
