It’s time to meet another one of our spectacular team members… the one and only Jennifer Holbert! Jennifer is 111Project’s North Central Regional Manager. She is located in NW OKC, but oversees Payne, Garfield, Grant, Noble, Logan, and Kay Oklahoma counties, where she works hard to equip churches and community members serving vulnerable children and families. Our team gets the honor of watching the beautiful ways that Jennifer supports church/community relationships and helps to build sustainable networks of care throughout her counties. She has been a 111Project staff member since August of 2022.
Before starting at 111Project, Jennifer worked as a Foster Family Specialist and Foster Recruiter Trainer for 6 years. She and her husband opened their home to foster children in 2012 and adopted siblings in 2016.
Before she was hired on, Jen was connected with 111Project through her experience working in foster care. When a Regional Manager position opened up, she already knew the quality of leadership and wanted a way to build community with the church and foster/adoptive community on a broader level through this position.
Jennifer and her family attend All Saints Community Church in OKC and the things in her life she values most are her relationship with Jesus, her husband and children, and helping vulnerable kids however she is able. Jen is playful, helpful, and in her own words, “hardworking with a sprinkle of bossy.” Our team has had the joy of seeing her resilience, compassion, persevering trust, and fun-loving spirit day after day. She is a gift to our team and has brought such beautiful leadership, invaluable experience, and raw devotion to Christ into the field, which we’ve seen encourage and bolster the communities in her counties and propel them to action.
Her favorite scripture in the Bible is Psalm 23…
“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.
He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies;
you anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD forever.”
When asked how her faith has been strengthened by her experiences working for 111Project, she shared that the weekly stories shared by our team members every Monday at our staff meeting have been a deep well of encouragement for her. Each week she gets to hear the miraculous, extraordinary ways God is moving in our state and working things together for the good of children and families. These stories are reminders that God is, indeed, on the throne and has a greater plan than we could ever picture ourselves.
Here at 111Project, we are traveling down the ROAD TO 77; to seeing all 77 counties launched with CarePortal and mobilized to support children and families in crisis. In light of this, it seemed only fitting to ask Jen what her go-to road trip snack is, to which she answered: a matcha green tea with oat milk. We are so blessed to have Jennifer on our team as we work to mobilize the local Church so every child has family. If you have come in contact with Jennifer, then you know just how amazing she is. We love you, Jen!
